Unread post by SouthernPigskin » Fri Nov 29, 2013 12:48 pm

A couple of SoCon teams prepare to start their FCS playoff runs this Saturday. Best of luck to both of the conference teams!

Good luck to SoCon teams it is going to tough maintaining a top 3 conference ranking at their level.

I assume we can stop these types of posts going forward.

Maybe you guys can start covering the Belt now vs. SoCon?

I see no reason you can't do both. Go ahead and post something about the Sunbelt I am sure nobody will object.

They don't cover the Sun Belt.

Then, there's no reason for them to darken the MMB's doorstep until they do.

If they do cover the Sun Belt, I am sure after clicking on their links a couple of times I will ignore those just like I do their SoCon "coverage".

One reason would be, you know, it would be twice as much work.

But I agree. That's fine if you cover the SoCon, but we are a Sun Belt Conference member going forward. That is our interest.

I thought it was pretty good, but it no longer serves a need for us, and won't, until they start to cover the Sun Belt.

My point is why can't you enjoy both. Does membership in the Sunbelt qualify us as football snobs? This is just like the absolutely ridiculous attitude that if you enjoy ACC basketball you are some kind of traitor. Why can't we just enjoy it all if it makes us happy?

Not at all. It's just the SoCon updates serve the MMB as well as the ACC or SEC updates.

Not to argue and my comment was not directed at you, but we have never been in the ACC or SEC and are only days out of the SOCON in a season that is not over yet. I doubt there will be many SOCON updates next year.
