In their FBS games, Marshall gave up 18 points to GaSt (who averages 20.8 points per game) and 21 to Missouri State (who averages 24.1 points per game).

We are averaging 25 ppg, but haven't hit that mark in our last three games.

Opponents are averaging 34 points per game and 446 yards (162 yards rushing and 284 passing)

I really hope we don't make their defense look good. Our coaching staff should be able to scheme to move the ball and score points.

Marshall's 4 FBS wins are against two teams with one win (Georgia State and Middle Tennessee), Texas State and ODU. They are 95th in the ESPN Power Index (vs. our 112th). Being at home, there is no reason we shouldn't be competitive or be surprised by a win. They are not a good, or even average, football team.

Interesting hearing D Lo talk about the tremendous challenges of playing against a dual threat.

We scare no one. Our home field advantage is no more. Coastal and Stink taunted us at home with bad teams and JMU ran it up and laughed at us just days ago. The team looks worse every week. Most teams now want to either play us for homecoming or at OUR homecoming.

Heaven help us.

I will be surprised if we are competitive and shocked if we actually win.

Wait until fans stop driving up the mountain to watch a bad team. Home field advantage goes bye bye.

Swann is officially OUT for Saturday. Jaden Barnes is doubtful as is Berchal and Rondo Porter is questionable.

We’ve got A TON of recruits on visits this weekend. Need the fans and students to show up for it. These last 2 are extremely important for recruiting. Be loud!

Jamal Lewis son will be in attendance as a 2027 recruit. If y’all remember that NFL name.

I get that things look bleak and we got our tails handed to us Saturday, but to act like we are getting blown out every week is a bit ridiculous. We have been in every game this year except for Boise State and JMU. There have been a couple of great, several good and too many bad moments. Our point differential is -56 in conference, with -48 of those from JMU. The silver lining is that this season will be as bad as things get. I could do a lot of things Saturday, but none of those would make me as happy as sitting in the stands of KBS - win or lose

"and too many bad moments."......What team have you been watching play football, because with that take it sure hasn't been App State. The bad moments have out numbered the good ones and are too numerous to mention.

I know. Too many in my eyes is more than several or a couple, that I mentioned for good moments. Thank you for making my point. Don’t be so argumentative and you might could have comprehended it better.

My bad completely, I read "not" and even writing it out I didn't realize it. Guess you're right here, too eager to jump. Sorry about that, I stand corrected and will try to read more closely.

I want to believe that, but what evidence do you have from this season to make that statement?

With the injuries added on offense, chances may have went from like 30% down to like 10% of winning.

I guess I would just point to the overall lack of talent and depth and dissatisfaction from everyone. Everyone knows it’s not acceptable to stay at this current level and things will be different to make sure that isn’t the case. I don’t know what will or won’t change, but I’m almost positive there will be another significant flip of the roster.

No worries and I was too aggressive. “Way too many” would be more accurate because there have been way too many bad moment. We are a bad team but hopefully that changes in the offseason.

The IR list is as long as my arm.

Instead of App sharing who’s on IR, it might be easier to report the players who are actually available.

In this portal age it is possible to make significant changes for the better quicker than in the past. But, there is no guarantee that what we bring in through the portal will be any better than what exists now. That also assumes that what talent we have that is producing now will be back. I think we all are hopeful that this gets turned around but maybe there's more than just a lack of talent at play.
