Just my opinion, but I don't think we've gotten the bang for our buck on the dedicated special teams coach. Nothing against him, but that would be a good start on bringing in an OC. I tend to agree that DL needs to consider bringing in some help. Even if he keeps his hands in the pie, he needs support with play calling and in-game adjustments. At the beginning of the season, I was very pleased with play calling but as people have gotten tape on us, we just don't seem to make adjustments well.

Maybe it’s all relative, but special teams have been the one group that has gotten better over the course of the season.

Yeah definitely feel like this needs more inspection.

You can make the conscious choice to sacrifice STC for OC if it’s worth it (and maybe it is) but special teams has been the most consistent phase and we’ve pulled off multiple fake punts etc

The kicking game has been decent but earlier in the season we were regularly making horrible decisions to return kicks out of the end zone. I just haven't seen what I believe to be consistently above average performance. I don't claim to be an expert so my arm chair observation might be off base.
