A rewrite of history??
A comedy movie reference.

Having to type that made me realize I picked the wrong week to stop smoking.

Those of us who get these movie references are the same ones who value Marshall as an arch rival.

I always wanted a Victor in my physics class. Never happened. Likely for the best as I would have likely been fired for harassment, but I would have been laughing the entire time.

Duke is the best football program in the state currently.
How sad is this statement.
Well they are putting money into that program unlike some schools. Cough cough.

I'm not sure if they are or aren't. ECU was actually pretty good. Weird things happen and when you have $4M a year to throw at a QB, even a mediocre program can make a splash.

After a strong turnaround following Houston's firing, Pirate fans were seriously concerned Blake Harrell was going to be lured away. I thought that was sort of humorous, but then we saw what happened with Huff and Memphis :|

Shows how important coaching can be. Neither program is ever better than average historically but they are champs now. You can win anywhere but it all comes down to coaching. Cignetti is the best coach in college football. He gets the most out of what he is given while many coaches underachieve.

Look at his support staff and assistants as well. He has great people around him. Think about what he is doing at Indiana and imagine what he could do with the resources of Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, etc. People use the word incredible way too much but what he has done is incredible.

Please stop, IU does have these recourses and most are better. top 15 Med school and largest in the U.S, Dental school, Law school, School of Business # 10 nationally, school of banking # 9 nationally, School of nursing 13th nationally. endowment wise square in the middle of the schools you listed. That will be changing soon with the winning streak. you should be asking imagine what he could do with the resources of IU?

I thought it went without saying but I was specifically talking about what they spend in football and not if they have a law, dental, or medical school. Of course Indiana has some resources but I mentioned schools like Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Oregon, etc. Indiana has much more resources than we do but they are not top 10 among P4 schools.

Here is the top 10 schools in NIL:
1. Texas Longhorns
2. Texas Tech
3. Ohio State
4. Oregon
5. Texas A&M & Miami
7. Michigan & USC
9. Tennessee
10. Auburn

You also have to look at what Indiana was prior to Cignetti getting to Indiana. He has done one of the most remarkable turnarounds of a program in just 2 years. It is a fact that Cignetti is one of the best, if not the best, college football head coach in the country. I could give so many metrics to prove it, especially considering where Indiana was prior to him getting there and the fact they just beat the defending national championships that is among the top 3 in NIL spending every single year.

Why should we? :D This is a what can be, not a what was discussion right? If the money offered recruits is the same (and it will be you'll have to trust me here) for IU the best players will be Cignetti's to handpick from.
