First Sun Belt Joke
First Sun Belt Joke
Two South Alabama students decided to make a visit to Boone to check out the scenery. While walking down town one looked at the other and said, "look bro you can get suits for $5, pants for 2.50 and shirts for $1. Let's buy up a bunch and take them home and we can make a lot of money. I will go in and talk to them while you go and get the truck." He goes into the store and tell the clerk he would like to buy 10 suits, 50 pairs of pants and 50 shirts. The clerk responds, " I bet you are from South Alabama." He responds, how, "how did you know. The clerk responds, "sir you are in a Dry Cleaners."

Re: First Sun Belt Joke
Good one.
All jokes aside, I'm in New Orleans for a conference this week. I'm going to attend a couple of their tournament games and I will say this just from the outside, the Sun Belt is so much more 'big time' than the SoCon it's not even funny. Their headquarters and tournaments/championships are in a major city. Their offices are in the Superdome. There is a 'fan zone' outside the dome that is really well done. Most of all, their teams are competitive and take their athletics seriously- like us. I know that we were hoping for CUSA, but I think we're going to be really happy our fate worked out this way in a couple years. Benson and crew seem to show up to work each day intent on improving the future of its members.
*This is not to degrade the SoCon. I write this more as a compliment to the Sun Belt.

I substituted South Alabama for ECU and used this one on the golf course today.dlh71 wrote:Two South Alabama students decided to make a visit to Boone to check out the scenery.
