Told you so...

Unread post by appbio91 » Mon Nov 17, 2014 10:50 am

I would just like to take the opportunity to gloat a bit. A vocal contingent of loyal fans began calling for change after the loss to Liberty. Despite the flag waving and calls to "give a mountaineer a chance" this group largely stuck to their guns. Now we can all sit back and enjoy the fruits of the changes that have taken place. I so enjoy being right and proving this bunch of rose colored glasses wearing, head in the sand, sheep to slaghter fans wrong.

Sounds ridiculous right? This is the other side of the apology threads that have become so popular.

Forgive me if my response is due to misinterpreting your comments but I don't think that those wearing rose colored glasses and stating to give a Mountaineer a chance weren't calling for changes. Clearly what we had going on wasn't working but there were some that preached to those yelling for change to trust the plan that was put into place and trust the coaches to make the right changes hence give a Mountaineer a chance. Regardless of which side of the discussion that people came to the table with, we are all enjoying the fruits of the labor and I think both sides proved to be correct. We are better due to changes of personnel but that personnel got better through coaching and sticking to the plan.

It takes time with young players - they aren't given the entire "play book" until they grasp the basics - it has been a progression and a development in accordance with the confidence gain to get them where they are today ---

As with AppSt94, I'm not sure what your point is here? :?

Wow! That is a level of spin doctoring worthy of a high level job in the Obama administration! When do you start?

I had to read the OP 4 or 5 times to figure out what was going on here. Now that is time that I'll never get back, and I have lost several brain cells.

Dumb thread.

Also, not surprising.

I bet you are a barrel full of laughs round the tailgate. I guess you don't do sarcasm if it took you 4 or 5 times through to get it.

I'm surprised as BF is usually the one throwing out the sarcasm. He's a master at it.
