Tele Question: In-line Call Blocking Devices

It's off-season, so I'd like to pose a serious communications question. "Bless my heart", I have phone service courtesy of Century-Link. That about says it all. A few of the sub-par offerings of the company include ways to block robo calls, scammers, telemarketers, and other annoying callers.

Who is using an in-line call blocking device and how well does it work. I've checked out Amazon and eBay and this seems to be the device of choice. Anyone using it?

Suggestions are solicited and highly appreciated. And, of course, Give 'em Hell, Apps!

After 15+ hours, just crickets. I'm guessing this means that only dinosaurs like me still have landlines in their homes.

Well, I didn't know such a device existed. I'm ready to buy one.

I switched to Time Warner for phone and internet about six months ago. The internet has been great after I hired a private tech to come and set it up. (For any of you on TWC for internet, by the way, the default settings on their modem do not work.)

As for phone, I now get calls from strange numbers including my own. It seems the IRS needs to speak with me. I now get weekly calls from an IRS "agent" with a strongly foreign accent. They are on the verge of freezing my accounts if I don't call back immediately. I'm hoping they don't catch up to me until after football season.

Chuck, I have Time Warner Cable for my phone and I use this... Has eliminated robo calls.

Thanks, Steve. That would have been the best solution that's been called to my attention. Unfortunately, the minute I selected Century-Link as my provider, it gave me an error message.

Nomorobo is not available on traditional analog landlines or wireless phones at this time.

And so it is with Century Link. Every way you turn, there's an obstacle. My search continues.
