I am confused about what you are referring to? Care to enlighten me?BeauFoster wrote:That's right, it was a bunch of similar questions in the 2015 recruiting thread.crossza wrote:BeauFoster wrote:Didn't you post this same thread last summer, too?
Nope. Wasn't me
In other news, the UAB athletic program has not yet died.

I definitely need access to that folder!WataugaMan wrote:With pintos, cornbread and onions mixed in, correct? Does this belong in the non-politically correct folder?

Yeah, it's still relatively early. But I do wonder how many people would be saying it was meaningless if App were sitting on double-digit commits right now.

I would because that would mean we have several placeholders committed. Seven months is seven months, for us or any other program. And just to be clear I never said Sou or any other program would not have all of their commits there come signing day. Just that, historically, when programs at this level get large numbers this early there is a reason and usually by signing day around half flip or reopen their recruiting. As I said earlier there's a reason their twitter squad is hitting the "stay committed" mantra right now.EastHallApp wrote:Yeah, it's still relatively early. No many of the commitments do not change their mind before signing day. A couple May but that's about it generally every year. Also the three-star commitments GS have also have multiple offers from other schools. They just don't have 1 offer as someone else said. If you're getting all your information from the recruiting sites you're going to get allot of info but not all of it. For instance the offensive lineman we have committed that's a three star does have offers from Georgia, North Carolina, and some others. You can find many articles written about many of these kids that will give more info, like their home town news papers and other media. Also remember that these kids for 2016 haven't played their senior season yet so many of them will continue to gain offers as the season goes on. This is where we both will fight to keep our top commits. You guys will be fine I'm sure, you always are.AppStateNews wrote:There are a number of reasons not to be worried.. but the biggest reason is because it's still early in the recruiting process. These are just verbal commits and many of the commits will flip their decision before signing day. It happens every year at every school. Just because a school has 12 verbal commits, does not mean those 12 will be signing with them.
Another reason not to worry is of their 12, we only showed interest in 3 of them...

I didn't know what OL you were referring to, but I looked him up and I don't believe he has/had a legit UNC offer. Or if he did, it disappeared when others committed before him. Can't speak to UGa, but I rather doubt that one too.Parr90 wrote: For instance the offensive lineman we have committed that's a three star does have offers from Georgia, North Carolina, and some others.
Georgia Southern's social media mouthpieces frequently tout the supposed P5 offers their commits had. But there's a difference between "reported offer" and "commitable offer."
Also, when they say they have "mutually parted ways" on signing day with their highest-rated recruit, you can probably assume that's not exactly what happened.

He does have offers from Georgia, UNC, ECU, Auburn, and others. You can go on 247 and see the offers they have and if you dont believe that go on each teams personal page on 247 under recruiting and look at their offers list. You would see this to be true. Several other GS commits have multiple offers as well. You guys will have them too. Just because you dont have alot now doesnt really mean anything. By signing day you will have a whole list of about 20 somthing new guys on your team.
The OL kid that commited said in an article that the coaches and him just hit it off. and sometimes kids realize that they may have to sit for a while before they play at a Georgia or Auburn so they choose to go where they feel they have more chance to play more.
