# of Clemson tickets sold?
Does anyone have the numbers on the number of tickets Appalachian fans have bought for the Clemson game? Me and some friends bought our through the school and wanted to see how many other fans would be there/estimates.
I am hearing 8k

Re: # of Clemson tickets sold?
I doubt that many were sold through the ASU ticket office. Usually ACC schools give opposing teams 3-5K tickets. Or at least historically thats what its been.
Would love it if 8K App fans are there next weekend.

We sold out of our two allotments then recently some were returned. I was told by a former player who spoke with the ticket office that 2500 were sold by the ticket office. He said they got a relatively small allotment from Clemson. This number does not include tickets purchased at the Clemson ticket office.

I've heard that the App State ticket office sold out of their initial allotment of tickets. They requested more from Clemson, and sold out of those as well. So, the 8-9k total may not be that far off.

Re: # of Clemson tickets sold?
We bought through Clemson because App had sold out the second time when I called. I know a ton of people who are going and only one group I've heard of was actually able to get tickets through ASU.
Not a great sample size but I've got a very good feeling about it.

We got our 10 through App. Clemson game isn't really on my radar yet, though. I'm too excited about this week's game!

I find your prediction of 17000 a very pessimistic number, how about 25,000 instead. Over 300 fans are attending the Hall of Fame Breakfast! I feel like this Saturday will be a big day for App State. Great attendance and a great victory! Go Apps!!!

I'd wager north of 25% of the App fans that travel to Clemson will not be in Boone this weekend.

No way of knowing. I'd like to see the Howard game simply because I'd like to see how our athletes perform vs an institution with such rigorous academic standards. I think it will be reminiscent of our Davidson College football games. However I think Howard is more serious about football funding than Howard.Saint3333 wrote:I'd wager north of 25% of the App fans that travel to Clemson will not be in Boone this weekend.

Re: # of Clemson tickets sold?
And that is sad. If it has come to 17,000 being viewed as a success for a home game, we have no business in FBS. Especially when last I heard we average approximately 9,000 students per game. 17,000 should be viewed as an embarrassment, shameful and an utter failure.moehler wrote:ya, if we get 17,000 for the Howard game, that would be a success.

Re: # of Clemson tickets sold?
well, I hope your right and I'm being too pessimistic, but unfortunately, there are too many excuses for our fans not to attend this game, we playing a team no one is excited about, labor day weekend, people spent their money on the Clemson game. It sucks, but it is what it is.

Re: # of Clemson tickets sold?
Look at how many empty seats there are on the ticket site for this game. They are everywhere in the stadium. I doubt there are that many walkup fans. Maybe we'll all be surprised.

I'm afraid the argument for additional seating isn't going to be helped by attendance this weekend. Prove me wrong App Nation!

Re: # of Clemson tickets sold?
Probably kind of depends on the institution, no? I expect we'll perform quite well Saturday but would have a tougher time against, say, Stanford.NewApp wrote:No way of knowing.
