40th App St Hall of Fame Class

This is probably the strongest class of HOF inductees in the 40 year history at App State (my opinion anyway). We attended the HOF induction breakfast this morning at the Holmes Center and were very impressed. All inductees were very well spoken, including Leigh Cooper Wallace's father. This class definitely makes us all proud to be Mountaineers!

Coach Jerry Moore - Football, 1989-2012
Armanti Edwards, Sr.- Football, 2006-2009
Leigh Cooper Wallace - Cross Country/Track & Field, 1988-1992
Chip Hooks - Football, 1991-1994
Daniel Wilcox - Football, 1998-2001

I was happy w/the number of fans/students who stayed for halftime. It was great to see Armanti & Jerry together again on the field! Good thing stupid Charlie Cobb doesn't work here anymore!

I liked the 3rd quarter tribute when Coach Moore finally had to just walk off the field to get people to stop!

The Jerry Moore interview on tv during the game was interesting - it seemed pretty apparent that there is still a long way to go to mend the relationship between the university and Jerry. There have obviously been positive strides made since 2013, but there's a lot of repair work left to do.
