I'm sorry that I expect the multi millionaire, at our expense, to be accountable for the team he supposedly has lead for 3 years. All I see and hear are damn excuses. I'm also angry that Appalachian State chose a coach on the basis of where he graduated as opposed to experience and demonstrated competency on leading anything. That my friends, is total bush league, along with allowing a defensive coordinator to assume the roll that he was removed from, by competent leadership, on the basis of what exactly?
It's funny how you need to be an expert on here to state the obvious to some people. You must not review legal documents before you sign them if you're no lawyer, or review your taxes if you're no accountant. Just sad.

“SC has to get more disciplined moving forward. Way too many penalties, late hits, celebrations etc.“
This was another one of those things that was mentioned repeatedly at the end of the 2020 season, yet here we are…

Thank you for the stats. That’s interesting. Is there a break down in the kind of penalties? It seems like we had way more holding and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties this year, but I could be wrong.WASU 93 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 5:02 pmPer Sports Reference

This was the first year that we did not have a Top 30 scoring defense and even with The Citadel and Robert Morris, we faced our toughest overall schedule

Re: Hate Week 2023
If you wanted to go real deep, you would also look at the timing of the penalties (Texas State would come to mind). Plus, in the past we had a "bend, but don't break defense" that would often limit the impact. Purely speculation, but I also think we flipped more than in previous years with our punting game/special teams.MrCraig wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 5:18 pmThank you for the stats. That’s interesting. And then, there's the going for it on 4th down and not making it, that are not factored in. But, I was watching the a P5 game last night and the announcers questioned a team punting from their own 40 yard line based on the analytics of "today's game"

It’s funny though that you align with the most negative aspects of this board. Bully to you my man

Auburn and Nebraska are cautionary tales. And, as someone else pointed out when ECU replaced Ruffin McNeil they hired a coach who won nine games in 3 years. That said, it doesn't mean there aren't changes that need to be made internally. This was the worst season in almost a decade and a repeat next season would be real cause for concern and perhaps a need to make a change at the top. And, some will disagree with this sentiment, but I believe SC has the right to try and solve whatever ails us.

Re: Hate Week 2023
I was more talking about the after the whistle and after game situations like the questionable words our DL used last year and now players shoving opponents fans after the game. That kind of stuff don’t fly. Gotta reel that kinda character crap in.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 5:21 pmYou could go through the game logs. I may go through them later once the pain has subsided.MrCraig wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 5:18 pmThank you for the stats. That’s interesting. Is there a break down in the kind of penalties? It seems like we had way more holding and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties this year, but I could be wrong.WASU 93 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 5:02 pmPer Sports Reference
