Anyone here have any eligibility left ?
1 year left.
But have a Microdisectomy next week. I think I could be just drugged up enough to throw for 300 and 3tds by Dec 29.
There’s a shot for that. Suit up!
Get the icy hot and ibuprofen ready…and probably a wheelchair.

I have to think the SBC also pushed us to accept. Not having an opponent for GS would have been a bad look. I hope we don't lose a ton of money on this.
I mean isn’t there automatically a payout for playing in a bowl? Probably at least a million.
Most of these lower bowls subtract any unsold tickets from the team allotment and we have to cover travel costs. The SBC pools bowl revenue for distribution as well. Not sure how the league will handle this game.

$1.37M from google! Seems high. Hope that’s true, we need it!

If we get $1M then this was a no brainer! I know bowls pay, but doubt this one is $1M.
Not verified but someone elsewhere said $1.4

Unless they've changed it this year, here's the Birmingham Bowl trophy

Sounds right… This is easily the highest profile bowl we have been in. Birmingham Bowl has a tie-in with AAC/SEC/ACC. (Of note what I just saw is that amount was 2023 payout).

JMU bringing in $4M to SBC from CFP and us/Stink bringing in right around $3M.

If the team wants to play let them. Y’all saying decline it are scrooges.

Don’t play your biggest rivalry with a chance to avenge the regular season? In a pretty good tv slot? And bring the conference money?
If the team wants it then so be it but they better not lose. Last thing we need is another loss this year.
Good grief.. go get your Linus security blanket

Anybody know when tickets go on sale and where to purchase? Thanks
I think there will be plenty of "walk up to ticket booth" on GameDay available. 😂😂

Let’s face it. We are in a rebuild mode so 12 additional practices and a game against somebody other than your teammates will help our progress. Gotta take a gift when you can.

More football. This is awesome.
My understanding is that they had enough buy in from the players to have a team to play, which would be a conditional factor.

That's really cool. Proud of those guys. Maybe we do have more TIGMAs than we realized.

My gut tells me Rondo/Manuel, McCantos and LittleJohn will play.

If they care anything about rivalries and TIGMA.
I don’t think the rivalries and TIGMA matter to that group, but it’s a chance to pad their resume and play in the only game that day on the mothership.

But, will DLo let them???
