But have a Microdisectomy next week. I think I could be just drugged up enough to throw for 300 and 3tds by Dec 29.

I have to think the SBC also pushed us to accept. Not having an opponent for GS would have been a bad look. I hope we don't lose a ton of money on this.

I mean isn’t there automatically a payout for playing in a bowl? Probably at least a million.

Most of these lower bowls subtract any unsold tickets from the team allotment and we have to cover travel costs. The SBC pools bowl revenue for distribution as well. Not sure how the league will handle this game.

Sounds right… This is easily the highest profile bowl we have been in. Birmingham Bowl has a tie-in with AAC/SEC/ACC. (Of note what I just saw is that amount was 2023 payout).

JMU bringing in $4M to SBC from CFP and us/Stink bringing in right around $3M.

There may be opt outs like any team. An opportunity to let some young guys get playing time.
