I know Armanti was fast, but I think that Thomas' 60 yard sprint may be faster than Armanti's.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Wed Oct 10, 2018 9:34 pmWatched a replay of Zac’s run. He was freaky fast outrunning the DB’s. He’s already got 2 TD runs of over 60 yards each and he’s only played 5 games.WASU 93 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 10, 2018 9:12 pmWe won 35-9 against a supposed Top Team in the Sun Belt. 35-9 and it wasn't that close. Our offense was pretty vanilla last night. We did run a jet sweep, the jump pass near the goal line and the option on the final TD. But, why should we expose Zack Thomas to excessive hits , when we don't need to. We won by 26 points on the road, with an offense that didn't play it's best game and didn't really open up the playbook.AppStateMtneer wrote: ↑Wed Oct 10, 2018 4:56 pmSo.... if we don’t run the option more I will be very upset... was wanting us to call it several times when up the middle prooved to fail early and often the first half of the Arky game.
Anyone know if we even ran it other than the scoring play by Thomas towards the end of the game ?
No need to be upset.

ULL has over 500 yards of offense by halftime, 348 in the air.
Yes it's NMSU, but still, this will be a challenge for the defense.

Re: Louisiana up Next
Quite possibly. But up until this point, there is a HUGE gap between the best team and the second best team in the league.

66 points for LaLa...I don’t care who the opponent is that’s a lot of points. We better pay attention.

Re: Louisiana up Next
Louisiana has a school record 759 adds on offense tonight.
That should get the players attention going into tomorrow's practice.
But they also gave up over 400 yards
Thomas and friends should try to dictate the tempo early. Louisiana has done that the last two weeks.

Re: Louisiana up Next
I’m not impressed. There has been some abismal football today. Outside of Alabama, the degree of separation between teams is getting slimmer and slimmer. I just watched the QB for Missouri go shotgun into the end zone and then tuck the ball because of pressure= safety..... wow, just terrible situational awareness.

LaLa Oline seems to move pretty well as a unit. QB (Nunez) likes to throw the slant to taller receivers. Most interesting observeration is Head Coach played for Furple. I hate Furple. “Napier was a four-time letterman, and took over the starting QB duties for his junior and senior seasons. The Paladins won two conference championships during Napier's time there, and he was selected to two All-Southern Conference teams at QB. In his junior year (2001) he led his team to the Division I-AA national championship game, before losing to Montana.”

It is believed to have been. However, the footage is so grainy that no one can say for sure. What is certain is that 13 years after this event, a redshirt freshman took over as QB for Appalachian and had to ask his Dad to finally get off the field
