We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. You said 24/7 was reporting he is going to Arkansas. You quoted a source. You took a posters word without verifying. I honestly don’t know who is worse at these hot takes, you are Eric.
Poor wording but I was just saying what someone from their board told me. I never did see an article. I will say that if I saw there was a legit story out there from a credible media outlet and it was not posted on here I would post a new thread. I honestly don't see why a SEC team would hire a first-year G5 coach but if one of them would do it I could see it being Arkansas.

247 message board has fans posting that Drink is going to Arkansas. Can anyone in media verify? I find it hard to believe it would be true this quick.
Everything I've seen on 247 seemed to be more suggesting that Drink should be a hire for Arkansas. If you believe message boards we would be in Conference USA right now.

Arkansas fan told me it is on their board. I don't have a 247 account for them so I can't read it myself but I don't think my friend would lie to me.
Please just give it a rest and enjoy the night. Have a drink or go to bed. The sun will rise tomorrow and we will still be the Sun Belt Champs.

If it turns out that Drink was a one year rental, I'll tip my cap to him and wish him well. I really would like for Doug to try and bring in someone who will be truly committed to 5 years with a big buyout until year 3. The best options for this would be former App guys, which this Nation is peppered with. Brian Jean Mary is a very interesting one that tops my list with Clark. We all love Drink for maintaining the momentum that Satt created, but as a one year coach with a locker room full of leaders, it would be crazy to crown him as anything more than a great young play caller with a ton of potential. That's what hurts most, you can really see the potential in this guy. Better he does go now if he plans to over the next season anyway, that way Doug can reestablish a sustainable plan for maintaining our culture and momentum. We may be in this "coaching carousel" for the foreseeable future, but if we can create a funnel ala Boise State, we can maintain the culture and recruiting so we don't fall into years of mediocrity.

Night family! What a ride, and we have one more game left!
I am warming to Jean Mary. He doesn’t run a 3-4 though.
Have we ever interviewed Jean-Mary before? Also, do you know if Gillin is thinking like we are or wanting to go for a hot up and coming P5 coordinator when Drink leaves? My take was that Gillin hired Drink thinking he would be gone about a year before Drink. Gillin is a really good AD and I'm sure he has aspirations of making several million a year at a P5 job. He is the one I hate to lose most. He has been the best AD we have had in 40 years.

You played defensive back, didn’t you? Because you damn sure backpedal on every declaration you make.

Yes I have seen that rumor before. Message boards have plenty of rumors that never happen.

I owned up to wording something incorrectly. All I did a packpedal on was admit bad wording. I never said he is gone for sure. Just that some there were saying he is their guy. My mistake was using the word reporting because that should be saved for when someone in the media does it.

Backpedal on every one? If I remember last year everything I said about Duck and our draft prospects was dead on. I think I said about a week before it happened that Gaither would go to Senior Bowl. I still think Evans is probably going to declare unless he listens to our coaches. A big reason why I hope Drink doesn't leave is to prevent any juniors from going early.

I have said we won't go to a NY6 and I have not wavered on that. I also think we are still heading to NO Bowl but I'll take my first L if we go to Belk Bowl. I'll be happy to be wrong there but until the powers that be say something different the NO Bowl is where the SBC Champ goes.

If he goes he goes, if he stays he stays. Nothing we can do about it, thats what last year tought me. Our job is to make it about more than a coach. What we can do is donate, attend and represent. This will be an annual thread as long as we have success. If we are not having this, then it is bad. We MUST raise revenue, bottom line.

It usually happens to me a good bit but thankfully pops up that a post was made since I sent it and move fast so I can hit the back button or not post again. I am glad to know I'm not the only one. I figured I was doing something wrong to cause that every now and then that others were not doing.

Well I type up something and then submit it but the program on here is all "hey, someone else posted something, you should reconsider" which is odd when that "someone" happens to be the post I'm being told to reconsider before submitting again. Oh well, at least you can go back an edit your post unlike on CNSBB where if you make a major typo like when you accidentally type FCS instead of FBS when promoting your team and look like a moron, lol.

That is a serious statement. Arkansas has a bad stable of QBs,DBG was getting looks from P5s late when drink locked n down. It wouldn’t suprise me to see him go there. 4 years of eligibility and 1 in drinks system
Sure, he could, if his sole reason for choosing App was Drinkwitz. That's also assuming Drinkwitz leaves for Arkansas, which he isn't.

It's Kiffin, it's always been Kiffin. This stuff about Kiffin being interested in Ole Miss is a negotiation tactic.
https://www.cbssports.com/college-footb ... nce-title/

This aged well, Eric.
That was Arkansas' number one target, by most every account and Arkansas made an offer. Clearly the negotiations fell through and Ole Miss jumped. Really helps when the agent each of their targets is using is one guy.
But you reported as being something more than the supposition that it was.
The point someone was making was that I said it was a "done deal". Their primary target appeared to be Kiffin. Media reports picked up that Arkansas had made an offer of $3.5 mm per year, information went dark, then it comes out that Ole Miss and Kiffin were in negotiations.

I'd say that Kiffin was possibly using Arkansas' offer as a bargaining chip with the job he wanted all along, in which case I would've been wrong. But the supposition I was making that Arkansas' primary target was Kiffin and it always had been Kiffin, as well as the fact that they were in negotiations, was not false.

Arkansas seems to be in a world of trouble, one way or the other. Seems Butch Davis is all of the sudden another name popping up but that is from one tweet that's been posted here.

One thing no one here is talking about it Boston College.

For what it's worth, 247 Sports is also saying that Butch Davis is in the running for the Arkansas job

Good Lord, the comments on that. I stand behind my original statement on who would want to deal with an SEC fanbase, lol.

I am with you on that one. I personally would not want to but I could take it for 4-5M and a 20M buyout lol.

“N511HS is enroute from North Wilkesboro to Columbia MO. Interesting route to NC (via Evansville, IN). Was on ground from 4:40 PM to 10 PM.“

Posted on Arkansas message board. Mizzou could be in the mix.
