Re: B1G is back
I was doubtful we’d see college football starting around July, because I thought colleges would not approach the problem looking for a solution to lessen the risks.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the response and plans put in place by most of the universities.
People aren’t willing to throw in the towel as easily and looking for real solutions. Refreshing to see.

Mentions the AAC as losers, but not The Sun Belt or APP or Appy. We are so under the radar despite our previous successes. It's like APP is remaining that school that has a really good team no one knows enough about. I even heard yesterday on a prominent College Football talk show, The Bill King Show, about U Louisiana was really good, ESPN's Charles Arbuckle the interviewee was going to really follow them because they were going to be special this year. God almighty, Buck, there is a team not far up the mountain on 321 from you in Charlotte that has kicked their asses 7 times in a row. What does APP have to do?

Actually the testing has. They will test more than any conference. Their plans are far more extensive than other conference's including requiring a cardiologist to clear those infected and keeping players out 21 days.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 12:58 pmHa - no foul.
The backlash they received from their alumni base.
They look foolish, the science hasn’t changed and look like hypocrites now.
August - Don’t put kids and others at risk - no sports.
Sept - oh crap we’re about to lose big donors, the risk is worth it. Send those kids out there!

Oh my, yes hap that’s the reason they’re able to come back. It’s is so much safer today than a month ago.
Sorry for not buying the Big Ten narrative, that loud beeping noise you hear isn’t a dump truck backing up it’s the Big Ten presidents.

It really is amazing how the “few” really do know but the many act like we get lucky. I don’t believe in luck. We have an incredible program.

Oh, the puntits and media folks will do whatever they can to make sure Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State find their way into the picture...hell they get ranked just for merely existing.

This could open the door for an abbreviated Pac 12 fall season.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 7:03 pmI’m utterly shocked by this news...

PAC 12 will open up. Read that all of a sudden California and Oregon are approved for practice. Unbelievable considering the fire issues- odd timing

Does it surprise you that Charlotte sports talk doesn’t seem to care for app? They have uncc so they can act just like Raleigh/Durham and only cover their local college team.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2020 3:06 pmWinners and Losers

Yeah the science isn’t up for debate. What researchers find is what they find. Media outlets selectively choose what to report and what not to report to fit their narratives. Individuals in the public choose what to believe and what not to based on their own preconceived notions (and generally their proclivity towards elephants or donkeys). But the science is absolute.

Of course science isn’t up for debate. That’s what makes the hypocrisy of the Big Ten laughable.
Hard to claim science now and science then is the point...

Oof I’m imagining when the B1G and PAC12 have to cancel games that they scheduled, cancelled, and re-scheduled again for Covid outbreaks. Clusterf**k.

Think they’ll cancel the season once they’ve canceled a game or two.
As they probably should.

Re: B1G is back
Those terrible people from the southern states can achieve a 90% success rate of holding games through week three.
Big Ten and PAC12 are just more responsible humans in general. Their players should have no issue staying Covid free. They never take off masks, visit friends, etc.
