Sick. So is the Sun rapidly expanding at this time and blinding everyone by 2025?

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
I’m struggling to see how this rendering gets us to 40k capacity. Love it though.

I think it’s been asked before but I don’t recall it being answered. It is a great question because really, it looks odd.

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
If anything, I'm guessing capacity remains the same or is cut a little, given the west side rennovation.

He maths about as well as he “Googles.”BeauFoster wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 4:03 pmNo kidding. 580 additional club seats alone is another $1.5mil revenue a year, not to mention boxes and loge seats. We’d probably have to add and sell 20k more seats to even come close to breaking even.

All these additions yet we aren’t addressing the already overcrowded concourses. They need to blowup the failing first 20 rows of concrete bleachers on both sides and move them 30-50’ closer to the field to create more concourse room. If you’re going to spend $150M, do it right. But, this plan looks so awesome haha.

I agree. Also, the sight lines are not very good the lower you get. Especially, on the west side.311neers wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 5:50 pmAll these additions yet we aren’t addressing the already overcrowded concourses. Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
Moving of the stands is not going to happen. There's a lot more to it than just blowing them up and rebuilding them. To do that, all sorry seating would also have to be blown up and moved. The west side building would have to be moved. Now, there's a chance in the future to add additional rows in front in both sides, but moving is not an option. To move would be essentially building an entire new stadium and likely a $500+ MM venture.
Plus, there a creek under the stadium so it makes it 100x more difficult and cost prohibitive.

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
It was done on purpose to maximize practice space and eventually connect both sides with concourses.

Oh? You don't think we need more fan seats? Were you at the Heel game? Did you pay $250 for your seat?

40,000 at $250 a piece for the Heel game would eclipse that it would seem. Have you not read all the posts inquiring about a 40K stadium?

No because I bought season tickets. Highly recommend for those that enjoy attending games.NewApp wrote: ↑Thu Oct 20, 2022 7:19 pmOh? You don't think we need more fan seats? Were you at the Heel game? Did you pay $250 for your seat?
$250 for 7 games, best deal in college football.

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
Sucks we aren’t getting rid of the aluminum stands for some concrete on the east side but I understand it isn’t that easy. I’m nitpicking but I’m also not a huge fan of how those concourses are connected. Why not bowl in that end somehow and make bigger concourses. I don’t know man I’m not an architect, I’m sure all this stuff has been thoroughly discussed and vetted.
