People coming down the stairs are bottlenecked by turning left and then having to do a 180 to go in the security lines. Add on drunk students trying to push their way through and its a bad recipe that whoever decided on security created.

I saw an App State Baseball player yell at a longtime season ticket holder and his family because the baseball player was trying to push through the crowd and the season ticket holder wouldn't let him.

Once Im getting home today Im definitely writing emails with pics of the baseball player in question.

This was always going to be a problem when we botched the NEZ layout. Took up a ton of plaza space with a building and didn’t improve the ingress/egress into/out the stadium (made it worse). Should have been built closer to the field with connecting concourses so people could have used the NE gate and NW gate to get to the West side.
Maybe we should force students to use the SE Gate up near the A to keep them separate. They don’t care to walk up the hill.

Also, don’t go get a baseball player suspended for this.

The problem is that this year, they've extended security gates out in front of the gate but only going down the sidewalk. Theb you got the stage for the pregame concert that tightens the space even more.

Last year, the security was at the gate, then the tickets were taken beyond the gate. The first 2024 game was a calamity, but after that it was fine. I dont know why they changed it up this year. It was bad for Lindenwood but way worse today.

Sat in the west side club seats yesterday. Sound was awful. Music was too loud and the high pitched feedback was very annoying and continued to happen throughout the game. The PA announcer also cut in over music several times and it sounded ridiculous.Everyone sitting around around me was complaining.

Also have a question. Do other stadiums show replays of reviewed calls during the entire review?
Some of the replays shown on the scoreboard were really weird. Like what the officials were seeing.

What a weird thing to be upset with. That's exactly what it was. We were seeing what they were seeing. The ACC Network literally has the replay center and the conversations with the officials piped into their broadcast. It's all about transparency and having us see why the official is making the decision they're making. Years ago we wouldnt even show the replay on challenged calls on the video board, and now we're seeing exactly what the ref is seeing and youre annoyed by it.

Our seats are in 206 on the west side. The sound was A MILLION times better than last time. They definitely improved the system. I thought the DJ did a great job in the 4th to keep the energy up and keep the student section going strong.

The admin clearly heard everyone’s complaints from game one. Sean Connery’s “Welcome To Tbe Rock” was back, the sound was way better, they did a lot to keep fan engagement up (something they can still continue to improve). Yosef’s zip line in was great. We criticized them greatly after game one, they deserved it. They also deserve some praise for the improvements made for game 2.

Incredible game yesterday. Incredible atmosphere. One of the best games at The Rock in a while. Now let’s keep it going.

The timing of the intro video, team entrance, and fireworks was laughably bad yesterday. I missed hearing "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" as that has gotten good crowd participation since we started playing it a few years ago. We could have used something like that in the third quarter to get the crowd engaged again.

Yep, I like the thought of giving the Students the SE gate to enter.

I was in west side club seats and the sound was greatly improved in my opinion.

I was unable to attend the Lindenwood game so nothing to compare the OSU game to. Glad to know improvements were made. Hopefully they will continue.

This will not surprise some of you, but I learned this weekend that someone who did not renew season tickets this year still got their parking permit for their space. I have been an apologist for ticket office and Yosef, but that’s not good, especially if some are not getting parking.

Sound improved for sure, but to me it just sounded like they weren't playing the music as loud, which would likely help the issues from the first game, but hopefully they did make actual improvements to the system as well. Next game lets shoot for a functioning ref mic without the deafening feedback.

Adding extra cost, like $5 more for an aisle seat in the East deck that I have had since the deck opened? That was just one of many things, that has been hard to swallow. Being moved from Duncan when we were told the creek under it was being "day lighted", moving to Blue Ridge Lot and paying A LOT more, then telling us we could move back to Duncan and keep our spot for Blue Ridge the next year, but not offering any of our money back if we did move back to Duncan. Yosef Club donations not going to what it was supposed to go to originally. Other Blue Ridge lot tailgaters not respecting the "drive lane" when you arrive to get to your parking spot and having them say "You should have gotten here earlier". No, I pay for my spot like you do and I can get here when I want to get here. So, for us, a lot of things added up to us getting out.

These sound like minor inconveniences compounded by poor communication. If you move your parking directly beside the stadium, you should expect to pay a lot more.

I am more interested to hear about what you mean regarding YC donations not going to what they are suppose to go to?

I never said I did not expect to pay more to be in Blue Ridge and I we did it for 2 years.

Yosef Club dollars are no longer just for scholarships.

You seemed shocked you had to pay a lot more and cited that as a key reason for dissatisfaction. They’ve never been just for scholarships. Dollars have always been used to provide benefits to the student-athlete through meals, lodging, healthcare and travel. Donating to the Yosef club still provides the same value to student-athletes that it always has.

Your key dissatisfaction and what you are alluding to is you don’t want to support NIL under the new rules, which is completely reasonable. The unfortunate trade-off for many in your shoes is that the non-NIL athlete is harmed the most is the whole situation.

The Yosef Club donations were until about a decade ago used 100% for scholarships. There was a vote and a change in the bylaws to amend that.

How far behind basically every other school do you think App would be in athlete benefits if they didn’t change the bylaws? A lot of the complaints I’m seeing seem to come from the fact that fans were used to an FCS lifestyle. Everything we price is now in line with peer FBS schools.

The idea of giving to fund a scholarship vs. the other aspects is pure to some. Think of it as endowing an academic scholarship vs. giving to the general fund. Lots of donors give in this manor as do many charitable foundations. Granted typically those are "large" donations which I believe is defined equally by the donor and recipient.
