And some of these guys we might not ever know about...we may never get the chance...we'll only see them transfer out and go somewhere else.CharlotteApp05 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 11:12 amIt is funny you say it that way and it is true...We won't know until next year......Which is quite the change from a few years ago when we wouldn't know about these guys for 2-3 years.

Re: Recruiting
I said the same same thing this morning. I don't like being this cynical but even with their best recruiting class possibly ever, in this era of football it is truly year to year. I would bet we won't see 60% of these guys in 2 years. Again I know it's an awful way to view things.APPdiesel wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 11:34 amAnd some of these guys we might not ever know about...we may never get the chance...we'll only see them transfer out and go somewhere else.CharlotteApp05 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 11:12 amIt is funny you say it that way and it is true...We won't know until next year......Which is quite the change from a few years ago when we wouldn't know about these guys for 2-3 years.

Re: Recruiting
This may be true. Probably similar to other schools. So, hopefully, we keep recruiting at high level so we can keep guys coming in to offset losses..versus less than stellar recruits replacing less than stellar recruitsAppmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 12:27 pmI said the same same thing this morning. I believe he is our long term plan.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 11:24 amIf the young man signs, do we really think he would actually start as a true freshman. Doesn't seem to happen often... Will DLo risk that option given expectations for next year?
Also depends on what other QBs on the roster.
Still probably need a QB next year via Portal or Kohl/Swann (eligibility?)

Both have eligibility, not sure if either will be here. I assume at least one is gone.311neers wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 1:07 pmI believe he is our long term plan.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 11:24 amIf the young man signs, do we really think he would actually start as a true freshman. Re: Recruiting
Interesting scenario. We have two experienced QBs of which I doubt either will be satisfied with being the backup to the other. Plus the young man who signed today. Plus whoever is in the portal.biggie wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 1:31 pmBoth have eligibility, not sure if either will be here. Re: Recruiting
I do not believe we have a QB on the roster at this time who can take us to a Conf Champ.

One of my favorite players ever, but now he might as well go hang out with Eric Church.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 3:38 pmOh No Evans .. NOT Roll Neers... You just didn't say that slogan![]()

Re: Recruiting
Don’t think Kohl has hit his ceiling yet but Swann probably already has and probably won’t get back to that ceiling.

Re: Recruiting
I agree. I think DLo loved him some AJ. Maybe due to arm strength or whatever reason. JJ grew on me as he got more playing time. This was really his first year of live action for an expanded period of time in the college level.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 5:11 pmDon’t think Kohl has hit his ceiling yet but Swann probably already has and probably won’t get back to that ceiling.

The guy played on a broken ankle all year. I'd say there's likely some upside when he gets both feet working. edit - referring to KohlNattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 5:11 pmDon’t think Kohl has hit his ceiling yet but Swann probably already has and probably won’t get back to that ceiling.

Re: Recruiting
Remember Kohl's big run versus Arkansas State? He took off like a fast giraffe. Where was that beforehand?
