This is a perfect example of playing the odds on recruiting at EVERY position. If you successfully sign 5 recruits you hope to get 2 good ones that successfully see the playing field during their tenure. The reasons for the others can vary for many reasons well beyond our collective (coaches, faculty, staff, students, fans, etc.) control. The reasons may be skill, academics, off field issues of many kinds, peers, desire, etc. There are so many intangibles that come into play over a 4-5 yr period of time for an 18-22 yr old young man.
I hope him the best whatever his situation.
