Thats bad news. He was really good. I was expecting good things from him. I guess thats why you recruit heavy because its always next man up.

This is a perfect example of playing the odds on recruiting at EVERY position. If you successfully sign 5 recruits you hope to get 2 good ones that successfully see the playing field during their tenure. The reasons for the others can vary for many reasons well beyond our collective (coaches, faculty, staff, students, fans, etc.) control. The reasons may be skill, academics, off field issues of many kinds, peers, desire, etc. There are so many intangibles that come into play over a 4-5 yr period of time for an 18-22 yr old young man.

I hope him the best whatever his situation.

Nothing at all in any searches on this and nothing from the Ga St people. I was wondering if you may have seen this in the ticker at the top of the message board of 24/7? I only ask because there was a story link up there talking about Scaife switching to App. That story is from 2013 when he first flipped from Ga St to App during recruiting. Mike has removed it but he has no control over what stories pop up in that ticker. It goes on views and will pull stuff from a couple of years ago. Just a heads up for all 24/7 members. If you see a story up there click on it to make sure it a current one.

I hope that is correct. I like his end rush potential...he has a seriously quick first step.

From taking a quick glance at the roster, we really need to load up on DL talent ASAP. Mostly on DT help as after Burns, Fernandez, Small are gone after 2016 season - we only have Barrett and maybe Stout (if he beefs up) that are slotted for the DT position.

I'd say we need at least 4-5 DLine frosh in next class (minimum of half DT size) to build depth there. We have built some solid depth on the OLine but we can't neglect the DLine.

If Dada is back on the roster, I hope some sat down with him, his family, coaching staff, and had a serious discussion about he really wants to do, if he wants to play football and attend App, great, if he wants to leave, thats fine also, but whatever his choice, he needs to be 100% committed and put any doubts of what he is going to do behind him.

To go along with my post yesterday in the 2015 thread the site was updated a little more this am. We have four deletes. First three were walk-ons that we hadn't assigned a number to all off season so it was a good bet that they weren't going to stick around for now. The last is Morgan.

The full on July roster update for the season is nearly upon us but they have been adding many player updates for the past couple of weeks. Spent a while going through the differences and I thought I would list them. Keep in mind that several players, especially the linemen, will be changing some before the season begins. Parker Collins is a good example given that he's dropped from 295 to 280 right now. But he's saying the plan is to play in the 290 range this year, exactly where he was last year. Also, as I said in an earlier thread, we know Iron Mike and the S & C staff, along with Nutrition, have been getting the fat off of some of our players and putting muscle back in it's place. It's been hard work but from all reports most of our guys will be like 6 million dollar men. Bigger, Stronger, Faster. Add quicker and in better condition than we've been in years and I'm really looking forward to seeing the results on the field. Just keep in mind these numbers are July numbers. Mike and staff are still building and tweaking players to get them to playing weight come camp.
