Was against firing a first year head coach until tonight. I used to work on the athletic training staff years ago and never would we have let someone so obviously injured back on the field. I can’t imagine the current AT staff wanted to either, it goes against everything you are trained to do as a medical professional.
The fault here 100% rests on the head coach. That was entirely preventable. I’m really upset at seeing a kid be put in that position. Player safety comes before everything.

Fair enough. However it works out, no administrator is going to ask my input, but my opinion is what it is. However we get there, I just want this team back to winning.t4pizza wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 7:11 pmI was in your same position until this game. The product on the field was that bad that i am not willing to give him anymore time at our school. Find a winning coach at FCS with a proven track record and people will be satisfied. These first time head coach hires have worn thin, sure we got lucky with Drink (Satt was a known quantity so I don't see that as luck) but the last two just haven't had it.AppDub wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 7:07 pmLet me rephrase that then. Plenty of Head Coaches will have interest, but would this crew be happy with any of the names that pop up for the job and will they be willing to give them leash to perform before starting the "fire em' " all talk all over again. My point is, give this current crew one more year and then make the change. This year is a bit soon in my opinion.

I was saying all this two weeks ago but people jumped my shit. It was painfully obvious we made a bad hire and this season was going nowhere. It’s extremely sad to watch a great program collapsing in front of you.

They said on radio that the teams we have beaten have won a combined 4 games this year and that we are a bad football team.

If all of this is accurate I would fire him tonight and dare him to try collect his buy out.ArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 7:15 pmThere is zero reason with the portal that we should be in that situation. We should never lose to a peer school by 50 points. I don't know how anybody could watch that game and say we need to give him another year.
He:
1) Kept an obviously injured QB in the game who was completing 5% of his passes and had 29 yards of offense to the point in the game where he got permanently injured.
2) Had his kid on the sideline showing ipad fun in the 3rd quarter down 38
3) Laughing it up after a complete blowout loss.
That is not the guy I want leading our program.

With the multiple sacks, we had ONE. Yes, ONE, yard of rushing tonight. Do not fret, Dowell coached Lanorris Sellers.

All of those things were clearly seen on the TV broadcast; he isn't making any of it up.Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 7:20 pmIf all of this is accurate I would fire him tonight and dare him to try collect his buy out.ArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 7:15 pmThere is zero reason with the portal that we should be in that situation. Just gave them to some friends to visit gone and take in a game. I don’t even know where we go from here.

Listening to the "cup cake" post game interview with DL. By the way, DL said we need to play better again. His answers are nothing, but, "blowing smoke/bull crap".
