We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Gameday!!!
Alabama won a couple with QBs that were probably in the lower half of the SEC, but they always had 21 other NFL-caliber players, so not really an accurate comparison.WVAPPeer wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 12:15 pmActually I do know what I am talking about - give me the names of teams who have made championship runs who didn't have a top flight QB, top flight RB and at least one top flight WR - You won't find one --- Hell, the Bengals made it to the Super Bowl with the worst offensive line in the NFLyosef69 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 10:55 amWell then you have no idea what you’re talking about. It’s a team game, it takes the whole to win. Sometimes some positions are perhaps more important in certain games, but as we’ve seen, if the oline struggles, it doesn’t really matter who is behind center. Cam Newton was a great NFL QB, but the Panthers oline was a sieve and he got killed every game.
Give 'em hell!

So true. Had the players gave up and not had heart then the final would have been more like 49-14 or 49-17 or so. They fought back hard.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 12:15 pmWhen the knives are out no one is safe.BeauFoster wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 9:52 amI don’t get the “no heart” posts. Re: Gameday!!!
It’s a fine line you and a couple others are walking between being upset we lost and being able to proclaim I told you so regarding your position about the coaching staff. There is a ridiculous amount of chest thumping after this loss. Many on here see the deficiencies, but the pointless App is in the garbage, the coaches suck, the players have no heart posts border on perverse glee. While I was incredible disappointed last night, I wasn’t breaking my neck to proclaim how bad App was. I see the weaknesses and talking about them is completely understandable. But those aren’t the posts by and large. It’s the ignorant mob mentality that’s ruling the day. It’s a lot easier to just say fire everyone we suck when you don’t actually know anything about football.

NOBODY IS GLAD WE LOST! Get that crap out of here. I’ve never coached. Haven’t played in 50 years. ( ran out of talent)But I have watched thousands of games and listened to thousands of commentators for 70 years and I know this, we do not pass the eye test. Pretty much all the criticism on here is right on the money. I’ve now witnessed a slow decline in our product . I made the comment after the cheat game that we would finish 5-7. God I hope not but I guess I’m going to have to stick to it. At the time I was called stupid but I saw it then and I see it now. Now, all that said: if we have the talent and if our recruiting has been up to par then if I saw it why can’t coaches see it and let’s see something on the field that indicates we are at least trying to fix .

How many times are you gonna say the same thing? I love the outrage when someone pushes back on the endless we suck posts. But the folks who say we suck over and over feel they should be free to spout that message tirelessly without rebuttal and are outraged everyone isn’t falling completely in line with the negativity. You predicted 5-7 after the Carolina game? After that game you thought we’d lose six more times? Ok. If you want to talk positions and players and guys waiting in the wings based on your years of viewership i’m sure many would love to hear what you have to say. But you aren’t doing doin that. You are writing these crypic posts about long slow descents into irrelevance that read like fan fiction.pop5app wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 12:30 pmNOBODY IS GLAD WE LOST! Get that crap out of here. We sat behind the players parents and directly in front of Chase’s Mom last night. It gives you a totally different perspective
She speaks highly of our program and her motto is “Chase never quits”. That was evident last night.

We had a bite to eat at same table with his grandparents in the NEZ before JMU. Had no clue who they were..we introduced ourselves and they said they had a grandson on team
Of course, my question, who is your grandson?. Very nice people..Very, very complimentary of App. St. When team came out for warm-ups, grandad had to get up to go see warm-ups. He said he could not help himself..He likes to see every second he can if his grandson..The Clemson/WF game was on behind us. It was funny seeing the grandmother talking at the TV for Clemson to win in between our conversations.

That is very fair, 100%. Satt probably wouldn't have lost to Tx St. or JMU, of course he would have found a way to loose to A&M. I get that wasn't your point. But the conference is getting better, and we're not.hapapp wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 2:13 pmBy and large the same teams that Satterfield racked up all his wins against.appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 9:48 amHow many of those 24 wins were against teams that ended up with a winning record? There is a lot of things to question and even some people to blame…CHASE BRICE AIN’T ONE OF THEM. Chase gives every ounce of blood, sweat, and tears every game. Like someone said before, his arm talent is something we haven’t seen on the mountain in a while, and may not see for a while after he’s gone. I’m scared to death of how this season would have looked without Chase leading the charge.

Satt did lose to fcs liberty at home and a ULM team that was 3-9 I think? People forget about that because we kicked ass the last 4 or 5 games and blew out Toledo in the bowl gameappgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 2:29 pmThat is very fair, 100%. This is still true the day after a loss, so the obvious question is why were we constantly trying the run the ball up the gut for no gain or loss?

Re: Gameday!!!
Of course, Satt did lose back to back to ULM and UMASS. I'm not suggesting that we are playing at the level of the best of Satt's teams. I do think we have some issues that have to be resolved and I am concerned about the path forward but I don't think we have reached the point where we fire SC because we are having a down year. First, let's see how we finish out the season (not overly optimistic) before we declare a complete disaster. I do believe next year could be a make or break year for the HC but also realize we could be breaking in a whole new backfield.appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 2:29 pmThat is very fair, 100%. Bingo!! Change some of those bone headed runs up the gut for maybe 50 more yards passing and we win.

As bad as it looked, I think there were 3 things the game turned on 1) illegal man down field call 2) putting Chase under center on what the 10 - why? 3) 4th 2 run up the middle
