We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

He does make mistakes as do all players and QBs. Watching it live and then the replay, the ball was late but the DB, who is a legit NFL prospect made a great play on the ball. Not excusing the execution but sometimes you have to tip your cap to the other guy.bcoach wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 10:56 amBut he didn't throw it down and to the left. 5 defenders rushing against 8 offensive players protecting pocket/QB. When half line is not engaged against a defender we let two guys come in hot against Joey so he had to unload early.
And there are 2 WRs against 6 defenders now.

That's the nature of a gun slinging QB. He's going to make some amazing, mind bending plays, but he's also going to throw some dumb stuff (and throw too much off his back foot). I think the positives are worth the negatives.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 11:02 amHe does make mistakes as do all players and QBs. Re: Sloan
Clark addressed the run blocking during the presser today. Say whatever you like about Clark, but he’s owned the issues everyone sees. Would be great if it clicks and all five plus skill players get on the same page Thursday. We have some horses at RB if we do.311neers wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 11:59 amAlmost looks like a flea flicker turned TE/RB slip screen with how many whiffed blocks we had.AtlAppMan wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 11:27 amIMG_1673.jpeg

Right, but from his view on the field, at that time, Revel wasn't in the picture. That play is why Revel is going to be a Top 32 draft pick, point blank. It was bad ball placement as much as anything else, and when you're being blitzed on 88% of your drop backs, decisions are bound to happen.bcoach wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 10:56 amBut he didn't throw it down and to the left. That and ECU covered the flea flicker better than I've seen any team cover it in a long time.

This is because you give the appearance of a run play, or a screen, and to do that you have to let guys go, I'd guess.AtlAppMan wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 11:27 amIMG_1673.jpeg

We forgot to run the screen though. I've seen that play alot from other teams. Flea flicker to Rb or TE screen. Looks exactly like the images above. Solid 15-20 yard chunk plays, maybe more.ericsaid wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 1:32 pmThis is because you give the appearance of a run play, or a screen, and to do that you have to let guys go, I'd guess.AtlAppMan wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 11:27 amIMG_1673.jpeg

Irrelevant -- comparing throws to past 1-AA QB's don't matter at that position as much as decision making. Chase Brice best arm of all time, Zac Thomas best leader, Taylor Lamb best decision maker, Armanti Edwards best athlete, Joey -- not sure yet....ericsaid wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 10:14 amJoey is fine. He was a deer in headlights vs Clemson - he couldn't convert on 3rd down or move the chains to keep the defense off the field first two series. Just get a first down, probably calms that Tiger Storm.
2 INT's vs ECU - so you run a flee flicker to throw a 17 yard under thrown pass?? (WTF)
To whom much is given much is required!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He isn't new - he is returning SBC offensive player of year - he doesn't need the exhibitions like a new secondary does.

He was a deer in headlights at Clemson? Have you gone back and watched the game? The receivers were literally being climbed on, through, and over. Joey was forced to throw to guys who couldn't get off of their defender and Clemson only had to rush four to get pressure.DenverOfTheEast wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 1:58 pmIrrelevant -- comparing throws to past 1-AA QB's don't matter at that position as much as decision making. Kinda like Greyson McCAll over in Raleigh -- yeah he's really lighting it up
-- SBC QB's aren't P4 good enough, if so Mack Brown would get one.
The season rides and dies on #4 decision making....
