The funds for S and C are a tremendous asset to the athletic programs' success because as you stated quicker/faster/stronger in the SBC is an absolute necessity. I'm very thankful that y'all got this started. When the alumni have a chance to invest in the student athlete's efforts it makes us stake-holders that much more, above and beyond the Yosef Club contributions.

I agree that as long as there is a need in the S and C program we keep this Club open. I just hope the powers that be don't look at this as a replacement for their yearly budget. It it tantamount that they know this is a designated fund and that budgeted items should NOT be affected!

GIVE 'EM HELL, APPS!
The reason I went to the Foundation to get the fund # set up was to prevent things like you refer to and things like the attempt by our former AD to take the Dugout Club money that was donated for Baseball and put it in the general Athletics Dept account. This will not affect what items Coach Mike can budget for and won't replace or subtract from his overall budget. Coach Jones should have used the Foundation fund # that was already there for ASU Baseball for people to donate to instead of going through the Athletic dept with the Club. Gladly that effort died when CC left.

I'm glad to put my full efforts into helping other projects that might come up and other areas that people might want to donate to. And Scat, since you mentioned athletic training, they have a fund number already through the Foundation (992808).

Just a reminder to everyone that S & C was one of the only areas on campus, not just the athletic department, that didn't have a fund # to designate to. This was one of the main reasons we did this and one of the reasons I want everyone to remember S & C in the future. Although we started this with a set goal in mind the secondary consideration was also to set it up to keep giving to one of the most important areas any university can have as far as athletics are concerned. We just want people to keep S & C in mind when they need some deductions or have a few dollars they would like to add to help.

There are no set dollar amounts, no points, no status perks for giving more. Just helping one of the most vital departments to any athletic department. On this board alone we have listed over 4,200 members. Taking out the fans from other schools and people like that, even if every member just gave $5.00 a year that's over $20,000.00 for S & C. That's just an example and I know that everyone won't do that but even an extra $5,000 or so each year would help the program immensely. And we can do that for a few others areas as well. $20.00 a year split between 4 different areas could do wonders for them all. It doesn't take much to make a difference if everyone joins in. And ten or twenty dollars won't take away from the Yosef Club for those who give to them as well. That's the whole reason for the "lot to give a little" instead of the "few having to give a lot" approach.

Working on that. Weather and Spring Ball has made things a bit harder but hope to have an update soon. Also wanted to add that Coach Mike had stated that he was going to take some pics when the new equipment came in and wanted to make a video to post. Looks like he spoke to the video people on campus and they won't make one to put on a "private" site. All you guys with the connections to the video staff can give them a hard time about that. We will be getting some pics though and will post them as we get them. More to follow.

OK everyone. Between people being on vacation, spring break, a computer glitch at the university that added a couple of old donations ($2,000) to the total that we had received, and S & C using the funds to start ordering equipment, it's taken me a while to try and figure things out. It appears that we are still short about $800 or so from reaching the original total of $16,000.00. When we got the $15,223+ figure it had those incorrect donations added in, which did drop us back a bit, but people continued to donate which is how we've nearly gotten to the goal.

Time for another push to reach and pass the goal. I know tax day is fast approaching and for anyone needing a last minute deduction please consider putting it into the S & C fund. As we've said many times before this fund # is permanent and is going to continue long past this drive. Coach Mike has already been ordering equipment and has received some. He will be sending me some pics to post on here soon and will send more as things come in. And as it's also been said many times this benefits all of our programs, men's and women's. We are so close to the original mark that I'm not even going to use it anymore. Anyone who has a few dollars laying around please give to S & C and let's just push this onward and upward. I've been digging around and I'm going to be giving another donation today. Just a few more will push us past the original goal.

Also, I've been told to pass on an "UNBELIEVABLE!!!" and a 'We're humbled and so appreciative to each and every one who has donated to help us have the best S & C program we can have" to everyone who has given. The staff truly can't believe the support they have been given. We are making a difference. Let's continue to do so and this is truly a case where each and every dollar counts.

One final note. I want to add my personal thanks to all who have given. We've really shown what we can do as fans and also have shown all the people in the Athletic Department that we support not just one sport here and one sport there, but truly support the entire athletic program. Thank You To EVERYONE!!!

Upped my donation this AM. Want to be sure we overcome the "glitch" and provide for the strength and conditioning program.

If you haven't done so, please consider another or first time donation. $25, $50, $75 or $100 +... it's all good! The first post of this subject string, will have the link and tell you how to donate directly to this effort.

He has posted some to twitter but they have been going through the offseason workouts full throttle and from my standpoint I've been going through several different personal issues and more computer problems that just happened. Sorry but I've had enough trouble just keeping up with the usual stuff going on. I will do my best to contact him and get some pics to post on here.

Sorry everyone. It's been a tough time but hopefully things are going to get under control soon.

I didn't think the S&C donations were going to Yosef Club points but I was looking at what I could do to up my ranking and it was listed along with my general Yosef Club donation for this year. I think last year they gave me credit for paying for my daughter's Student Yosef Club membership since I did that over the phone and used my credit card, though I don't remember telling them of my current YC status at the time. They must have tracked me down.

BTW, if I give $1,015,000 I will zoom to the top of the Yosef Club rankings. Maybe I should try a GoFundMe or a Kickstarter.

If you're looking to move up in points, make a five year pledge, see page six link.

The five year ... or more ... pledge is a great way to go even if your annual donation is $250. You get credit for committing to be there for our student athletes for years to come.

Good catch on the S&C donation in your Yosef account, too. I was pleased to see that. I love playing with that "Where would I rank?" gizmo. I think I've only got to come up with $1,000,000 to be #1. Maybe next week.

I'm only a dollar and the correct six numbers away.

I give very little to be honest so I will never be high in the ranks, but I did make a long term commitment I think this past year, just at a very small amount.

Someone said the 8000+ number was everyone that has donated since day 1 of Yosef Club or at least for the past good many years. I am nowhere near the 8000 rank but I am, I am sure, nearer the bottom of current members.
